RuterProfil – your personal profile

Get access to your ticket and personal settings across devices such as mobile phone, tablet and web with a RuterProfil.

What is RuterProfil?

RuterProfil is a personal profile that allows you to log in via the Ruter app or at ruter.no. Should you lose your device, you can access your ticket and settings through your profile.

With a RuterProfil, you can also

  • transfer your ticket between devices
  • store your purchase history to easily retrieve it regardless of what device you’re on
  • download receipts from your profile on ruter.no
  • use micromobility services (i.e. e-scooters or Oslo City Bike) via the Ruter app
  • store your favourite locations, favourite stops, and journey searches to easily retrieve your planned journey regardless of what device you’re on
  • get updated journey and disruption information regarding the journey you have planned

If you’re using a travelcard, you have the option of connecting your card to your profile. This will give you the option to

  • transfer any stored value to a new card should you lose it
  • get automatic renewal or automatic top-up of pay-as-you-go credit. This requires a separate agreement with us.

How do I set up a RuterProfil?

Remember: You will have access to your profile on all devices, regardless of where you choose to set it up.

In the Ruter app

  • Download the Ruter app
  • Press the “Profile” tab in the bottom menu.
  • Press “Psst! You are not logged in”.
  • Type your mobile number and press “Next”.
  • You'll get a confirmation code via sms. Type in the code.
  • You must consent to setting up a RuterProfil. Tick the box and press “Next”.

At ruter.no

  • Click on “Log in” at the top of the page.
  • Type your mobile number and click “Next”.
  • You'll get a confirmation code via sms. Type in the code.
  • You must consent to setting up a RuterProfil. Tick the box and click “Next”.
  • Type your personal information and click “Next”.

How do I delete my RuterProfil?

You can delete your profile both in the Ruter app and at MinSide on ruter.no.

In the Ruter app

  • Log in to your profile.
  • Press the “Profile” tab in the bottom menu.
  • Press “Your information”.
  • Press “Delete profile” and confirm. 

At ruter.no

  • Click on “Log in” at the top of the page.
  • Click on “Personal details”.
  • Click on “Delete profile” at the bottom of the page and confirm. 

Regret deleting your profile?

You can cancel your request for deletion by logging back in within 14 days. 

When you delete your profile, your consent will be withdrawn. You must therefore consent again if you wish to set up a new RuterProfile.
