Price

A children's fare applies to bicycles, personal transporters and kicksleds.

Exceptions

It is free to bring:

  • Small children's bicycles.
  • Collapsible bicycles and scooters
  • Small scooters/e-scooters that you can easily carry under your arm.
  • Bicycles for the disabled.

Bicycle on the Metro

In July you may bring your bicycle free on the Metro. This applies to all days – all day long. Outside of July the following applies:

You may bring you bicycle free on the Metro if travelling outside of rush hour or during weekends. Rush hour is Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

How to travel with bicycle

On all transport modes

  • Bicycles are permitted if there is sufficient space. Some exceptions apply on buses on Nesodden and the ferries.
  • The length must not exceed 1,750 mm, while the width must not exceed 700 mm. The same rules apply for electric bicycles, small electric scooters or the like.
  • Please make sure your bicycle is not blocking the path for other passengers on board.
  • It is not permitted to use bicycles, skateboards, roller skates or similar in Ruter's areas or transport services.

On ferries

  • On ferry routes B1 and B1, you can bring your bicycle before 9:00 only, provided there is sufficient space.
  • On ferry route B10, a maximum of 20 bicycles are permitted on board.
  • On ferry routes B11, B20, B21 and B22, a maximum of six bicycles are permitted on board.

On Nesodden buses

We must prioritise wheelchairs and prams during rush hours. Bicycles are not allowed on weekdays between 14:00 and 18:00.
