Public transport measures

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration is giving priority to public transport when the Bryn tunnel closes. A number of measures will be implemented to ensure that buses can keep their schedules – a complete list of measures is available here.

Published

  • A barrier, which will only allow access for buses, in Enebakkveien at Abildsø.
  • A bus lane in the southbound direction on the Ring 3 motorway between Teisen and Bryn. 
  • The current access control in Jernbaneveien is already significantly adjusted to the benefit of Østensjøveien.
  • Electric vehicles may not use bus lanes on the E6 / Ring 3, Mosseveien and in Bjørvika. 
  • Park and ride facilities will be established at Hvam, Olavsgård, Tusenfryd and Vinterbro. These have a combined capacity of 900 vehicles.
  • Closing of entry ramp from Østensjøveien to Ring 3 in northbound direction.
  • Closing of entry ramp from Nils Hansens vei to Ring 3 in southbound direction.
  • Signposting of alternative routes outside of the works area to reroute passing traffic on the E6.
