Practical information about Selvkjørende
Selvkjørende uses fixed pick-up and drop-off points. You will be picked up and dropped off at the nearest location along your route. In most cases, you will have a short walking distance to and from these points, usually less than a few hundred metres, and never more than 600 metres.
The vehicles are red, feature the Ruter logo, and have space for up to three passengers. During the initial phase, a safety operator will be seated in the driver's seat. The operator's role is to ensure that the vehicle and systems function as intended.
Operating hours
You can book a self-driving vehicle during the following times:
Monday–Friday: 07:00–20:00
Service area
Selvkjørende is currently available within a limited area of Groruddalen in Oslo. The service covers the districts of Alna, Bjerke, Grorud, and Stovner. Journeys must start and end within this area in order to book and use Selvkjørende. Pick-up and drop-off locations can be found in the Selvkjørende app.
Planning a trip to Stovnertårnet? Or perhaps visiting friends in Ellingsrud? With self-driving transport, you can easily reach popular destinations in the area.
