Last updated: 05.03.2026, 10:48

Three different periods with buses replacing trams
Sporveien is going to renew the power line between Thune and Lilleaker, and establish a new turning point for the tram at Øraker. You can read more on Sporveien’s pages about the benefits of the upgrade.
Here you can see which travel information applies for the different periods, and which changes you need to be aware of.
Period 1: March 16 – March 27
Bus 13B runs instead of the tram between Skøyen and Solli during this period. The tram runs as normal between Lilleaker and Skøyen.
Period 2: 15 April – 9 June
Bus 13B replaces the tram between Furulund and Lilleaker. The tram runs as normal between Ljabru and Furulund.
Important stop changes from 15 April to 9 June:
- Furulund: Passengers can board the bus at the stop in the direction of Lilleaker – that is, on the opposite side of the tram tracks from the usual one. The bus stop is located on Vækerøveien, close to the tram’s regular stop.
- Lilleaker: Bus 13B stops at the CC-Vest and Lilleaker stops.
- Sollerud stop is closed to passengers. Please use nearby stops. Travelers whose needs mean they cannot use other stops may travel with on-demand transport by contacting Ruter’s customer service center.
Period 3: 10 June 2026 – 29 January 2027
During this period, bus 13B and bus 13E will replace the tram between Thune and Lilleaker. The tram will run as normal between Ljabru and Thune.
Bus 13B runs throughout the entire period and serves the following stops:
- Thune (Drammensveien)
- Skøyen Station (Hoffsveien)
- Hoff (Harbitz Avenue)
- Abbediengen (Sigurd Iversen's Road)
- Ullern (Ullernveien/Bekkefaret)
- Furulund (Vækerøveien)
- CC Vest (Lilleakerveien)
Bus 13E – faster direct bus during rush hour
Bus 13E is a faster option with fewer stops. It runs Thune → E18/Drammensveien → Furulund → Lilleaker, but only on weekdays during the morning and afternoon rush hours (in the rush direction). Bus 13E does not run on weekends and holidays.
Note:
- Sollerud stop is closed for boarding and alighting.
- Lilleaker tram stop is not served by the buses. Use the CC Vest stop instead.
Useful tips
- Allow some extra travel time – the buses take a bit longer than the tram.
- Pay attention to the signs – temporary stops may be located differently than usual.
