When you download and activate the Ruter app, you enter into an agreement with Ruter As and accept the terms and conditions on this page. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with your responsibilities to avoid fines during ticket inspections. Our travel conditions apply to all use of Ruter's services.

Generally

With the Ruter app, you can plan your journey with us, purchase tickets, and make use of associated services.

In the app, you can:

• Conduct travel searches
• Buy ticket
• Save favorite places
• Save purchase history

Routers can store data that cannot be linked to you regarding the use of the app so that we can identify errors or deficiencies, measure usage, and further develop the service

Terms of use for the app

Valid mobile tickets from Ruter can only be purchased in the official Ruter app and RuterBillett app, as well as in the official apps of Vys, Brakars, and Entur. In addition, the following terms and conditions apply:

• It is not permitted to alter or manipulate fixed content within the application.
• Any attempt to recreate the original source code of software (known as reverse engineering) is strictly prohibited.
• Ruter's tickets and/or data made available by Ruter shall not be copied, transferred, traded, and/or distributed in any way.

Ticketing

If you are going to buy a ticket you must:

• Ensure sufficient coverage during the purchase process so that you can buy a ticket.
• Turn on mobile data during ticket inspection so that you can display today's image and control code to the inspector.
• Make sure you have enough money on a prepaid card so that today's image and control code can be downloaded.
• You must have a valid ticket for the journey before boarding, or when entering the control zone at the subway station. You may board, or enter a control zone, when the ticket status is 'Confirmed - Boarding Allowed'.

The mobile phone, tablet, or similar must also:

• Function normally with a screen that is readable
• Make sure your battery lasts for the duration of your trip so you can display a valid ticket.

If you cannot display your ticket, it is considered traveling without a valid ticket. If you buy a ticket for others on your mobile, you must travel together so that you can show a valid ticket for everyone.

Breach of contract

If the terms of use for the Ruter app are not complied with, Ruter may block the app from further use. In this connection, Ruter will refund any outstanding legitimate claims.

By using the app in violation of these terms, or any other misuse of the app, you are responsible for any financial loss incurred by Ruter as a result.
