Section 4: What can be brought along

The Pilot Service Selvkjørende is part of a research and development project with limitations related to the vehicle's design and the possibilities for accommodating additional equipment and luggage. Therefore, there are restrictions on what the passenger may bring on the journey. In cases of doubt, the operator will decide whether an item or animal may be brought along.

4.1 Luggage

Passengers may bring a manageable item/luggage on board, but it must fit on the passenger's lap or on the floor between the legs during the journey, and not obstruct other passengers or the safety operator.

4.2 Animals

Animals are not allowed in the vehicle, with the exception of guide dogs, service dogs, or working dogs.

4.3 Driving devices that cannot be included

Due to limited space in the vehicle, it is not possible to bring driving devices such as strollers, wheelchairs, or bicycles. It is also not possible to bring child safety equipment such as car seats.

Other conditions

Children under 135cm are not allowed, as the service currently does not offer approved child safety equipment. To purchase a ticket, you must be over 15 years old. Children under 15 years old can travel with adults as long as tickets are purchased for all passengers.

Changes to the agreement

During the pilot period, changes to the agreement may occur. Changes may include, for example, reimbursement rules and cancellation policies, price adjustments, or other terms.

Breach of contract

If the terms of use for the pilot service Selvkjørende are not complied with, Ruter may block the app from further use. In this connection, Ruter will refund any outstanding legitimate claims.
