Travel advice for Norway Cup

Tickets for bus, tram, and metro
All participants with wristbands travel for free on Ruter's transport services (bus, tram, ferry, and metro, not train) in zone 1 during Norway Cup.
In the Ruter app, you can purchase tickets for others without a participant wristband. Here you can find information about group discounts.

In the Ruter app and journey planner, you can find the fastest route to and from the matches.
Here's how you do it:
- Open the Ruter app or go to ruter.no
- Enter where you are traveling from – for example, "Oslo S".
- Enter your destination – for example, "Ekeberghallen" or "Valle Hovin".
- Select a time and/or date if you want to schedule ahead
To Ekebergsletta
Below is an overview of some travel options to Ekebergsletta, where most of the matches are played:
Tram
You can take tram number 13 or 19 towards Ljabru/Bråten to the Sportsplassen stop. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to Ekeberghallen.
- Tram 13 departs from the Dronningens gate stop at Prinsens gate near Oslo Central Station.
- Tram 19 departs from Jernbanetorget platform B in front of Oslo S. We are running extra services between Stortorvet and Bråten throughout the day.
Metro
- Take line 4 direction east to Brattlikollen. From Brattlikollen, it's about a 20-minute walk to Ekebergsletta.
- Alternatively, take line 2 or 4 heading east to Brynseng and transfer there to bus 23 Simensbråten to get a bit closer to Ekebergsletta.
Bus
23X Lysaker–Simensbråten
- Simensbråten is the closest stop to the match area at Ekeberg.
- Additional departures are running all day between Sinsenkrysset and Simensbråten.
- On Saturday and Sunday, there will be additional departures to/from Brynseng.
34 and 34X Tåsen–Jernbanetorget–Ekeberg hageby
- You can take bus 34/34X from Jernbanetorget platform H (next to Byporten) towards Ekeberg. Simensbråten is the closest stop to Ekeberghallen.
- Bus 34X has additional departures between Jernbanetorget and Simensbråten in both directions:
Monday-Friday 07:00 – 22:15
Saturday 14:00 – 22:15
Sunday 07:00 – 22:15
74 Jernbanetorget–Mortensrud
You can take bus 74 from Jernbanetorget platform L on Fred Olsens gate to Sportsplassen. From there, it's about a 13-minute walk to the Ekeberg area.
NC2 Tveita–Simensbråten
- Temporary bus service running via Tveita – Bøler T – Simensbråten.
To other football fields
Norway Cup uses several football fields around Oslo.
Here you can see an overview of the areas in Oslo where the matches are played:

Note that parts of the metro are closed
Between July 5t and August 10, Majorstuen and Nationaltheatret are completely closed. It is not possible to get on or off, or to take the metro past these stations.
Line 1 between Frognerseteren - Helsfyr is completely canceled. There will be changes on all metro lines and bus replacements will operate on several routes.
