Become a summer intern

Every summer, we invite a diversity of students into the organization. Here, you'll work on real-world problems and closely with colleagues who care.

The positions are announced every spring.

Work as a student assistant

We have students in various academic environments throughout the year – both part-time and project-based. This is a golden opportunity to combine studies with practical experience.

Collaborative projects

We regularly collaborate with students and academic communities on real-world challenges from Ruter’s day-to-day operations. In spring 2026, design students at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design spent 12 weeks designing autonomous vehicles for public transport in 2035.

The result was seven different ways of thinking about who public transport of the future should actually serve, ranging from vehicles adapted for people on the autism spectrum to solutions for families with children and older people.
