Sognsvann station will be closed for four weeks starting October 1
Sognsvann station will be closed from Thursday, October 1, for up to four weeks while the platform is being repaired. During this period, metro services will run to and from Kringsjå station.
Sognsvann station will close from October 1
Following technical assessments, Sporveien has concluded that parts of the platform at Sognsvann station must be rebuilt. The work is necessary to ensure a long-term solution.
The station will therefore remain closed while the work is underway.
We will not provide any additional service as a result of the closure, but accessible transportation will be available. The distance from Kringsjå station to Sognsvann station is approximately 350 meters.
Travel advice for customers:
- Take the metro to Kringsjå if you're going to Sognsvann.
- Allow a little extra time to walk between Kringsjå and Sognsvann.
- Passengers with special needs can receive assisted transportation for the final leg of their journey.
We understand that this comes as a surprise to passengers. The metro will continue to run as far as Kringsjå, and from there it is a short walk up to Sognsvann. Passengers who need additional assistance from Kringsjå will receive it.
Travellers who need assisted transport between Kringsjå and Sognsvann
Travellers who need extra assistance can get assisted transport for the last part of the trip, between Kringsjå and Sognsvann. To book, contact Sporveien on 95258000.
