Add a ticket to your travel card from home
The online store is a new option for anyone who wants to buy tickets for a travel card online. Simply log in, add your travel card, and purchase a ticket in a few easy steps. The ticket is loaded directly onto the card and is ready to use. You’ll find all our ticket types in the online store, from single tickets to monthly passes.
You can also buy a ticket for someone else’s travel card. Many people purchase tickets for their children, grandchildren, or others they are helping with their journey. The online store makes this even easier.

How it works
Log in with your phone number and add your travel card by entering the travel card number found on the back of the card. Then select a ticket and pay by debit or credit card. The ticket will be added to your travel card and will be ready to use the next time you travel.
Remember that you still need to activate the ticket using a card reader on board public transport or at the metro station for the ticket to be valid.

Where can I get the travel card?
You can buy the travel card at Narvesen, 7-Eleven and Mix kiosks, or at our customer service center at Jernbanetorget. See the address.
Once you have the travel card, you can buy tickets for it in the online store.
A new travel card costs 50 kroner. Keep your travel card, as it can be reused.
How do I pay?
You pay by debit or credit card. Remember that the card you use to pay is not the same as the travel card you use for your journey.
Where can I find my tickets?
The ticket is added to your travel card after purchase. Under "Your travel cards" in the online store, you can see what is stored on the card.
Can I still top up my travel card in person?
Yes, you can still top up your travel card and buy tickets for it at physical retail outlets. The online store is a new option, not a replacement for the retail outlets. If you want to add travel credit, you can still do so at Narvesen, 7-Eleven and Mix kiosks, or at our customer service center at Jernbanetorget. See the address.
What should I do when boarding a bus, tram, or metro?
To have a valid ticket when you travel, the ticket on your travel card must be activated using a card reader on board public transport or at the metro station. This starts the ticket.
Can I buy tickets for others in the online store?
Yes, you can buy a ticket for someone else's travel card directly from the online store. You will need the travel card number of the person you are buying it for. The number is printed on the back of the travel card.
What if I lose my travel card?
Have you lost your travel card and can provide proof that you are its rightful owner? Get help transferring the contents of your travel card to a new one by visiting our customer service center at Jernbanetorget (Ruter S) or one of our service points. A new travel card costs NOK 50.
Which travel cards work in the online store?
The online store only works with Ruter travel cards. Unfortunately, if you have a travel card from Vy or Entur, you cannot use it here.
