Group discount

On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, you can bring up to four children under 18 for free when you buy an adult, senior or student ticket.

Combined group

You can buy tickets for everyone in the group with the Ruter app. Select “Single ticket”, choose how many people you’re paying for and the number of zones. All the tickets will be stored together on your phone. Remember that everyone in the group must travel together so that all of you can show a valid ticket if there is a ticket inspection.

Not grouped

Are you a group that won’t be traveling together all the time? You can buy both single tickets and period tickets for others with the Ruter app and send the ticket to their mobile phone. Go to “Buy ticket” and tap on passenger category (adult, child, senior). Then choose which passenger categories you want to buy for and tap “Buy for others.” You can select a maximum of 25 single tickets per purchase.

Group ticket on the travel card

You can have tickets for an entire group on one travel card. Remember that you must travel together so that everyone can show a valid ticket if there is a ticket inspection. You can buy a group ticket in two ways:

Buy group ticket at the kiosk

You can buy group tickets at kiosks and at our service points. The group ticket is a collection of single tickets that are loaded onto one and the same travel card. Remember that when you scan the travel card on a card reader, all the tickets are activated at the same time.

Buy group ticket with travel funds

If you have travel credit on your travel card, you can pay for other people’s tickets on board buses and boats. Tell the driver how far you are going and how many people you are paying for.

Many people heading out to travel?

Large groups must be prepared to split up across several departures if the departure is full. Ruter cannot guarantee that everyone will get a seat on the same departure. If it is essential for your group to travel together, you must purchase this service in the open charter bus market.
