Oslo City Bike in the Ruter app
3,000 bikes, both manual and electric, all available in the Ruter app. Here’s everything you need to know before you get started.
In the Ruter app, you can rent both regular bikes and e-bikes from Oslo City Bike, and choose whichever one you want to ride. Prices and opening hours are the same as in the Oslo City Bike app.
How to get started:
- Download the Ruter app if you don't already have it.
- Make sure Oslo City Bike is set to appear on your map in the app. You can do this either from the map filter or from the profile page.
- Find the nearest bike rack on the map, or scan the QR code on the bike you want to rent.
- Start the trip.
How to find the e-bikes in the Ruter app
Of course, you can also rent the white e-bikes from Oslo City Bike. Once you have selected a station on the map, you can switch tabs to choose a regular bike or an e-bike.
You can also scan the QR code on the rear fender to select the bike you like best.
Pay per ride
- Unlocking: NOK 8
- Per-minute rate for a regular bicycle: NOK 1
- E-bike price per minute: NOK 2
You can cycle for up to 3 hours at a time.
Bikes can be picked up from the racks every day from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. You can return a bike to a station at any time.
