These are the price changes for the 30-day ticket
The price reduction has been made possible by the government subsidy scheme for reduced prices on period tickets.
Adults get a reduction in the price of the 30-day ticket of between 100 and 400 kroner, depending on how many zones the ticket is valid for.
In Oslo (Zone 1), the price of a monthly pass is being reduced by 150 kroner – from 805 to 655 kroner.
Passengers in Oslo in Zone 1 get the largest percentage reduction on the 30-day ticket. This is possible because Oslo municipality is also contributing 115 million kroner from its own budget.
If you travel from Akershus towards Oslo, you will also notice the price reduction:
- One zone: 100 kroner cheaper
- Two zones: 250 kroner cheaper
- Three or more zones: 400 kroner cheaper
The scheme with cheaper monthly passes runs from May 3, 2026 to May 3, 2027.
These are the price changes for the annual pass
The news that it will also become cheaper to buy an annual pass has come after the announcement that the monthly pass will be cheaper. The reason for this is that the 365-day ticket is not covered by the state subsidy scheme, and it has taken some time to finalize the price reduction.
- Annual passes are reduced by 500 kroner for zone 1 (Oslo), 500 kroner for two zones, and by 1,000 kroner for three zones
Children and young people travel without zone restrictions from August
30-day ticket for children and young people are reduced by 100 kroner – from 338 to 238 kroner.

This means that children and young people can travel freely throughout Ruter’s area – in both Oslo and Akershus – for 238 kroner per month.
