Temporary route changes for bus lines 20, 79, 81 and 19N

From Wednesday, March 4, four bus routes will temporarily run with changed routes. The reason is that the buses’ axle load exceeds the permitted usage class on two bridges in Oslo.

Overview of the route changes

Line 20

Line 20 runs via Ring 2. The bus does not stop at Torshovparken, Torshov, Arendalsgata and Sagene during this period.

Travellers in this area can use bus lines 54, 34, 30 and 37 to connect to line 20 on Ring 2. Tram lines 12, 15 and 18 from Torshov are also an alternative

Line 79 is getting a new route. It will run via Herregårdsveien and Ljabrudiagonalen.

Temporary change

Ruter, in cooperation with the bus operators Unibuss and Connect Bus, has adjusted the routes. The changes apply until further notice, while Ruter awaits an assessment of the recommended load class for Bentsebrua and Lja Bridge.

We will get back to travelers with information as soon as we know how long the change will last.
