New bus route between Bekkestua and Høvik
From 2 June you can take bus 225 every half hour to get to Veritasveien, the beach or the Henie Onstad Centre.

Many people live and travel in the Bekkestua and Høvik area, and the brand new bus line 225 will provide greater flexibility and more options. In addition, it can reduce traffic on local roads, so that everyone gets to where they’re going faster.
Frequent departures
- Monday to Friday: every half hour between 05:31 and 21:31.
- Saturdays: every half hour between 07:01 and 21:31.
More transition options
- At Bekkestua you can transfer to the metro and several bus lines.
- At Høvik Church you can transfer to bus 160.
- At Høvik station you can take the train.
The service on route 225 will initially run until spring 2026. The bus route has been introduced because Ring 1 is temporarily closed, and Akershus County has received a special grant to strengthen public transport services.
