Points of sale and service for tickets and travelcards

Buying a ticket at a ticket machine. If you already have a travelcard, you can buy a ticket from ticket machines.

Tickets for public transport in Oslo and Akershus can be purchased in a large number of kiosks and shops, from ticket machines, at our Service Centre and Service Points, on mobile and here at ruter.no. If you need help, you can pay a visit to one of our Service Points, the bus terminals or our Customer Service Centre.

Purchase and renewal

Our Service Centre and Service Points

You will find our Customer Service Centre (former Trafikanten) at Jernbanetorget - just outside the central train station. The service points are located at Aker brygge and Oslo Airport Gardermoen and at the metro stations at Jernbanetorget, Nationaltheateret and Majorstuen. See opening hours and details.

Train stations

NSB sells tickets inside the Ruter tariff zone (Oslo and Akershus), but only for the zones through which the trains drive. NSB also sells tickets for train travels all over the country. See nsb.no for details.

Bus terminals

The bus terminals in Oslo and Lillestrøm. For opening hours and details, see akt.as (only in Norwegian).

Kiosks and shops

You can purchase tickets at most 7-Eleven, Deli De Luca, Mix and Narvesen kiosks and stores in Oslo and Akershus in addition to other kiosks and grocery shops near stops. See all sales outlets in map.

Ticket machines

If you already have a travelcard, you can top up the card using one of Ruter’s or NSB’s ticket machines. If you do not have a travelcard, you can purchase single tickets and 24-hour tickets on the disposable Impuls card on the ticket machines. You will find the ticket machines at the metro stations, major junctions for buses and trams as well as train stations.

Internet

You can order a travelcard both with and without subscription here at ruter.no – order travelcard (only in Norwegian).

If you already have a travelcard you can buy tickets and pay-as-you-go credit in our webshop. After completing the purchase you will have to visit one of our pick up devices to download the ticket/ pay-as-you-go credit to the travelcard. Please note that online purchases is a pilot project with a limited number of pick up devices – go to webshop (only in Norwegian).

Mobile

The app RuterBillett lets you buy a ticket before you get on board. The ticket is valid on the Metro, buses, trams, ferries and trains in Oslo and Akershus. You can use RuterBillett on your iPhone/iPad, Android and Windows Phone. Read more about RuterBillett.
