Changes to Metro services after 20:55

The Metro tunnel between Majorstuen and Stortinget is closed for maintenance Monday–Thursday nights. There will be service changes on all Metro lines.

Line 1

  • Trains are running between Frognerseteren and Majorstuen.
  • Cancelled between Majorstuen and Helsfyr.

Line 2

  • Trains are running between Østerås and Majorstuen.
  • Cancelled between Majorstuen and Stortinget.
  • Trains are running between Stortinget and Ellingsrudåsen.

Line 3

  • Trains are running between Kolsås and Majorstuen.
  • Cancelled between Majorstuen and Stortinget.
  • Trains are running between Stortinget and Mortensrud.

Line 4

  • Trains are running between Vestli and Storo.
  • Cancelled between Storo and Stortinget.
  • Trains are running between Stortinget and Bergkrystallen.

Line 5

  • Trains are running between Sognsvann and Blindern, with altered departure times from Sognsvann.
  • Trains are running between Majorstuen and Stortinget via Ringen/Storo.
  • Cancelled between Majorstuen and Stortinget via Nationaltheatret.
  • Trains are running between Stortinget and Vestli.

Alternative routes

Metro line 5 Ringen is running between Majorstuen and Stortinget via Storo.

Tram and bus

Tram routes 11 and 12 are running as usual, and tram route 19 has an improved service during the Metro closure. We are also operating a temporary tram route 15 from Majorstuen via Frogner, Nationaltheatret and Øvre Slottsgate (for Stortinget) to Jernbanetorget return.

Tram routes 17 and 18 stop at Forskningsparken, Tinghuset (for Stortinget) and Jernbanetorget.

Bus route 20 Skøyen–Galgeberg stops at Majorstuen, Carl Berners plass and Tøyen.

Step-free access

Trams 11, 12, 15 and 19 have high floors, and unfortunately they can’t accommodate wheelchairs. If you require step-free access, please use Metro line 5 Ringen, which is running between Majorstuen and Stortinget via Storo.
