## This is how the app works

With the Ruter app, you can plan your journey, buy tickets, and save destinations you travel to frequently. 

You can also:

- get a discount on single tickets with [Reis](https://ruter.no/en/about-our-tickets/discount)
- see real-time departure times
- filter transportation modes
- get relevant service disruption information
- get [accessibility information](https://ruter.no/en/practical-information/availability-on-board) for certain stops
- purchase tickets for other phones
- find the nearest available City Bike
- get travel suggestions for cycling and walking

### With a personal profile, you can also:

- find and pay for rides with [electric scooters, electric bikes, and Oslo City Bikes](https://ruter.no/en/more-transport-services/bicycle-and-e-scooter/drive-with-app)
- save tickets, travel, and favorites – even if you switch phones
- subscribe to a 30-day ticket if you already have a valid ticket
- test new concepts and products

## Payment in the Ruter app

You can pay with:

- Show
- MasterCard
- Vipps
- Apple Pay
- Amex
