Web page ruter.no
As a user of ruter.no, you are completely anonymous. We do not save information about you and your use.
Statistics
For statistical purposes, we use the analytical tool "Google Analytics". Information about visit to and use of ruter.no is anonymized and used in general analyses without data that can be linked to a given person.
These statistics help us seeing which parts of the web site receive most visits without knowing who has visited what or which searches have been made.
Use of "cookies"
Cookies are used at most web sites. They are small text files which are saved by your browser on your computer. At ruter.no, these are used for three purposes:
1: In a statistical context, cookies are used to see if you are a new visitor, or if you have visited ruter.no earlier (from the same browser on the same computer).
2: In the 'favorite' functionality, cookies are used if you want to save travel searches and stops you have been looking for in our travel planner.
3: In MyPage (MinSide) cookies are used to remember your login for x minutes so that you don't have to log in once more.
The cookies are only saved locally on your computer and do not give ruter.no access to data about you and your use beyond point 1 - 3. You may also use ruter.no without saving to cookies by changing the settings for this in your browser.

Trafikanten and Ruter on your mobile
On our mobile adapted web page m.ruter.no and in the apps for iPhone, Android and Nokia, information from your phone may be used to make it easier for you to plan trips, find departure times etc. The solutions can also be used without this extra functionality - read more about the mobile solutions.
Position
On phones with positioning ability, the phone's position may be used as an alternative to entering the address, stop or area when you are doing a search. Your position is sent anonymized to Trafikantens subsystems and cannot be linked to the end user.
Using an address book
The app for iPhone and Android let you use an address from the phone's address book / contact list to do a search. In the iPhone app the address is entered into the search field and the address is used to do a search without connection to the person. In the Android app the address is converted to coordinates before these are used to do a search without connection to the person. The information from the address book / contact list is not saved in the apps.
Statistics
For statistical purposes the analytical tool "Google Analytics" is used. Information about visits and use is anonymized and used in general analyses without data that can be linked to a given person.
Use of the phone's identifiers
When m.ruter.no or the apps are used, the IMEI number, SIM abbreviated dial code, phone number, UDIDs or other identifiers that can be used to identify the user are not sent.
